Evan Gershkovich, Wall Street Journal reporter, was detained in Russia last week for espionage. The 31-year old journalist was arrested in Russia while on a reporting trip. He is currently being held in a Moscow jail.

The Journal and U.S. officials including President Biden have denied the allegations and demanded his release.

The Wall Street Journal demanded the immediate release Saturday of Evan Gershkovich (a distinguished journalist who was detained while reporting in Russia),' the Journal stated. "No reporter should be held for doing their job."
