Grasso's Garage takes to Florida! In the opening drive, it was a 240-mile trip from Tampa to Miami. On the open road, the bridges and in traffic, the Corolla performed great. Our six-speed manual transmission was flawless, smooth and quiet. We got an outrageous 41 miles per gallon on the highway in some locations and did a combined mpg of 34 on our weeklong test. Our XSE model showed out nicely in the Blue Flame exterior with black accents. Although it might be for college students and first-vehicle drivers, it's also great for commuters. Going back and forth between work is already a dragging event. The Corolla hatchback provides comfort, a spacious interior, excellent fuel mileage and great technology. Even though the government safety ratings came in at all five stars across the board, we recognize Toyota Safety Sense 2.0, blind spot monitoring, smart key system, backup camera. LED headlights with upgraded adaptive headlights were a great feature. Interior wise it was all comfort, although the rear seats were small, the hatchback really showed nice storage space for luggage and groceries. An eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system was present that protruded from the center stack. It was easy to use and very crisp in appearance. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto came standard in addition to power front seats, leather wrapped steering wheel, and dual zone automatic climate control. The Corolla Hatchback should be sought by consumers who are looking for excellence in the automotive industry. Not only is the Corolla Hatchback a great vehicle for many, the XSE model is a total win. Are you in the market for a new car? I would be happy to provide my honest input.
