Flavorman predicts top beverage trends in 2023

The Louisville-based custom beverage development company is back with its annual predictions for the beverage industry.

Flavorman predicts top beverage trends in 2023

Flavorman predicted the beverage market trends for last year correctly, such as the return of bold classics like cherry, watermelon, and apple. In the release, David Dafoe (founder and CEO of Flavorman) stated that'much like patterns elsewhere, we're anticipating a transition towards functionality, simplicity and natural alternatives within the beverage space. "The industry can expect lively and effervescent flavours, with a strong emphasis on simplicity when it comes to product appearance." As the public searches for recyclable alternatives, it is expected that sustainable packaging and environmentally friendly materials will continue to be a key focus. According to the release, "2023 looks like another year of simplicity in beverages," said Tom Gibson, chief flavourist at Flavorman. Flavorman has 30 years of experience in the beverage industry. It also has more than 80,000 beverage formulations. Flavorman compiles the annual trends summary by reviewing the latest beverage projects it has tested over the past 12 months. It has worked with many brands, including Crispin Hard Cider and Formula O2, Jones Soda and Chiquita.
