SYDNEY, (Reuters) - Australia's Chief of Defence Force Angus Campbell described Tuesday's possible intelligence leakage by the United States as a "serious" incident. He said that the U.S. was working with its partners to address the implications.

Campbell responded to questions following a speech at Lowy Institute, "The security of information is crucial to the development and trust and confidence among allies and partners."

Three U.S. officials stated that the U.S. national security agency is reviewing the way they share sensitive information within the U.S. government and are dealing with diplomatic fallout from the publication of dozens confidential documents.
